City Camp 2017

South Sub Youth Ministry invites you to be a part of an exciting opportunity! City Camp is like no other event you've ever been a part of. It combines the likes of a camp and a mission's trip all in one and it's held in our very own city of Denver with other local churches. It is for the 7th-12th grade students from Monday, June 12 to Thursday, June 15. There are 2 parts to this week-long experience: camp and missions.

CAMP

We completely take over Colorado Christian University (CCU), and run a camp-like experience with impactful services, videos, worship and teaching where we encounter Jesus on new levels. We also have insane amounts of fun with games, late-night activities, and team competitions.

MISSIONS

The second part, and premise of this week, is to go out during the day into our city and serve neighborhoods, ministries, and people in need by doing neighborhood and park cleanups, landscaping, painting, hanging out with neighborhood children, and having food and clothing drives.

Cost (includes: Housing, all meals, t-shirt, activity and rec fees):

Contact Spencer, Minister to Students, for more information or with any questions you may have.

Men's Impact Breakfast

Guest Speaker:  Dan Hettinger—Author, Ministry Leader, Hospice Chaplain

Dan will share from his inspirational book, "WELCOME TO THE BIG LEAGUES: EVERY MAN’S JOURNEY TO SIGNIFICANCE—THE DARREL CHANEY STORY."

Darrel Chaney made it to the Big Leagues. He played for 7 years on one of the best teams ever to take the field, the Cincinnati Reds—the Big Red Machine. He played in 4 National League Championship Series and 3 World Series. He was in the game the Major League Baseball Network considered the best game of the last 50 years—game 6 of the 1975 World Series. But Darrel had a nagging frustration that eroded his belief in his significance. Disappointments, setbacks and opposition attacked his dream. He was a utility player among superstars.

Most men are utility players. They face the same battles that Darrel faced. They get frustrated and lose enthusiasm for work and life itself. But when a man discovers his God given significance, he enjoys life more and does better in it. Then, whatever his game, he is in the Big Leagues. Come be inspired!
