Life Connection Ministry

"When Jesus was going to launch His ministry, He did not begin by raising an army, raising a budget, starting a university, building a headquarters or writing a manual.  He started by forming a small group.  He recruited a group of unlikely people to learn together, travel together, live together, eat together, argue together, suffer together, so that they might be knit together and one day change the world.  His primary strategy for the extension of His movement was His leadership of a small group." John Ortberg

In the lobby of South Suburban; on the walls of Levi's House; on all of our printed materials; prominent on the home page of our web site are the words "Worship", "Connect", "Serve".  We believe that these sum up our intent to see Life come together through South Suburban's ministry and mission.

"Connect" is one of the pillars of this three-pronged approach.

Life Connection Groups provide an avenue that helps move us from being a church with small groups to a church OF small groups.

We live in a day of great hunger for relationships/connections/community.  Small groups are more than just Bible studies, though that opportunity is given.  Small groups are more than prayer groups, although they can provide a "bridge line to the throne room".  More than just a time of fellowship, small groups can serve as a foundation for encountering God in a safe place, receiving resources for spiritual growth, and enjoying Life-changing relationships.
