Summer Movie Matinee
Wednesday afternoons from 1:00- 2:30 pm in the Holy Word Theatre
at South Suburban Christian Church. All ages are
welcome-under 4 MUST be accompanied by an
adult. Make plans now to spend your Wednesdays in

Candy Drive
Please help HIZ KIDS Children's Ministry collect bags of candy
to donate to Sochi, Russia. We are asking for each family to
provide one of the following types of candy during the first 3
Sundays of June! Please place your donation in the box in the
foyer! Thanks for helping us help the children in Russia!

Please bring your preschool aged children to our rooms where
they will experience warm, loving caregivers, participate in a time
of learning through their senses of the Bible story, music, art,
snacks, and begin to develop a sense of belonging to the family of

HIZ KIDS Kingdom
Sundays 9:30am
The purpose of HIZ KIDS KINGDOM is to use multi-dimensional
teaching to give children the opportunity to learn and
retain important faith stories and Biblical lessons by
experiencing them. Our purpose is to disciple children
and to teach them the Living Word of God.
HIZ KIDS Church
Sundays 11:00am
HIZ KIDS CHURCH helps to ready children for a lifetime of
Worship and to teach them the components they will find in "big
church." We learn all about what it is to Praise, the 4 "r's" of
Communion and to participate in it, Offering (and where it goes),
Prayer, The Lord's Prayer (why we say it and what it means), The
Bible (where it came from & how to use it), and ways to apply
what we have learned on Sunday to our lives so that we can use it
on a daily basis. Finally, the children learn how to make good
choices that will be pleasing to Jesus. Check out John 4:23
Faith Steps
This program is designed as a way to bring families and give
parents/caregivers the tools and encouragement that they need in
order to be the "faith teachers" of the children in their lives.
Faith Steps is the partnering with parents to help them become the
Spiritual leaders in their homes. Faith Steps are learning units
that we believe children can accomplish and understand at specific
ages. They are intended to help the child along in his or her faith
development and also in understanding how to live as a Christian
believer. Each step will involve the parents through a class, a
project, or an experience. We want to help families become the
foundations for teaching the faith. We want children to know there
is a reason why we are learning about Bible stories. We also want
children to grow strong bonds with the congregation as they grow up
so they are already integrated into life of faith spiritual
practices.
If we have already conducted the Faith Step for your
child and they missed their step, the material is always available!
