South Suburban Christian Church has been sending missions teams to the Northern Cheyenne Reservation for almost 14 years, and this summer we’ll be right back there again! We will be staying just over the Montana/Wyoming border in the town of Lame Deer, and the dates for the trip this year are July 16-21.
2017 will be a special year for us, as we will be going back to our roots and partnering with missions agency YouthWorks to help facilitate our trip. They’ve been hosting youth missions teams for 15 years in Lame Deer, and are actually the reason SSCC started going there in the first place! They will help us with food, lodging, security, and programming, and we are very excited to take this annual trip to the reservation to the next level!
Our days will be spent serving the local community through service projects and a city-wide VBS for kids, and then in the evenings we’ll come together to grow in our own faith and have some fun, too! Due to the physically and spiritually intensive nature of this trip, only students who have completed 9th grade and participated in City Camp ’17 are eligible to apply. Spots are very limited, so applicants will receive a confirmation email and a request for a deposit after the May 24th deadline has passed.
Thanks for your interest in helping bring the gospel to the people of the Northern Cheyenne Reservation!
