Hello all you knitters and crocheters! Thank you for your support of the prayer shawl ministry at SSCC that has been a blessing to many people over the years. To compliment this ministry we have found a new project called POCKET PRAYER. At approximately 4” by 4.5” they can be tucked into pockets or purses, and each one is knitted or crocheted with a prayer or loving intention to provide love and goodwill to the person receiving it. With enough support for this project we plan to have a basket of the squares at the Welcome Center for anyone who might like to have one. For more information, including several sample patterns, contact Mary Schulz via the church office (303.798.2406). Donated yarn is available for those crafters who would need it.
We Want You! The coffee is great, the fellowship is amazing, we have a lot of fun, and our baristas are the BEST. Fear not, we are not Starbucks. The hours are better, the work is easier and the rewards eternal! If interested in volunteering, please contact Carroll Isaac or Helen Demarest through the church office. Thank you in advance for your help!
By the way, we will buy you a cup of coffee!
Interested in welcoming new faces and giving them the resources to be a part of our church? Join us at the Welcome Center! A position at the Welcome Center is a commitment for 1 hour and 30 minutes per month, plus one additional Sunday each year. If you are interested, please contact Debby Young via the church office to arrange for training.
If you're passionate about the use of technology in worship, sign up for our multimedia team today. You will be trained to run presentation software, the sound board, and lighting in the sanctuary in order to foster an environment for our congregation to worship on Sundays. Please contact the church office for more information.
YOU can make a difference! Children’s ministry continues to seek volunteer assistance on Wednesday evenings for Awana handbook verse listeners and on Sunday mornings for preschool lead and assistant teachers at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., Shepherds and Rotation teachers for our Kindergarten – 4th graders at 9:30 a.m., Preteen lead teachers and assistants at 9:30 a.m., and one-on-one special needs assistants/buddies throughout the entire morning. Contact the church office for more information or to volunteer.
NORTH LITTLETON PROMISE
The need for volunteers is always ongoing, as we would love to allow more kids into our programs. For every new volunteer, we get to add 2-3 new students. Please prayerfully consider joining our team. With your help we can minister to more kids in the northeast Littleton neighborhood.
