We seek to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education, and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of Jesus Christ in the world.
The Women’s Ministry of SSCC has several groups within its structure, to allow you a variety of opportunities to participate. We consider every woman who attends South Suburban to be a part of the Women’s Ministry!
WOMEN’S MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT
SSCC Women’s Ministry exists to assist our congregation in nurturing, encouraging, and equipping women of all ages to faithfully and fully use their gifts and talents to glorify God. Every woman who attends SSCC is invited to participate in and contribute to the various expressions of this important ministry.
PRAYER FOR WOMEN OF SSCC
Lord, please do immeasurably more in the lives of every woman at SSCC than all we could ever ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within each of Your daughters. Glorify Yourself through each of our lives and for generations to come.

Hello all you knitters and crocheters! Thank you for your support of the prayer shawl ministry at SSCC that has been a blessing to many people over the years. To compliment this ministry we have found a new project called POCKET PRAYER. At approximately 4” by 4.5” they can be tucked into pockets or purses, and each one is knitted or crocheted with a prayer or loving intention to provide love and goodwill to the person receiving it. With enough support for this project we plan to have a basket of the squares at the Welcome Center for anyone who might like to have one. For more information, including several sample patterns, contact Mary Schulz via the church office (303.798.2406). Donated yarn is available for those crafters who would need it.
Funeral Meals Ministry
This ministry team provides a meal for the family or a reception following a funeral. The team is in need of people who would be able to help with preparations before the meal, serving during the meal and cleanup afterwards. We also are in need of people who would be willing to prepare food items for these events.
This group of ladies meet weekly to hand quilt donated and pieced tops and then donate finished quilts to Colorado Christian Home for their quilt sale.
When: Wednesday mornings at 9 a.m.
Where: Peak Room 171 (basement of church)
